Quick text tutorial:

Install the Ferro Rosso font (it’s probably not installed on you machine) before you start this tutorial.

Step 1. Open a new document – 1280x1024px.

Step 2. Paste my carbon fiber texture in the background, or fill it with black color or any other dark texture.

Step 3. Apply gradient overlay to the carbon fiber background (double click on the background layer in layers window) with these options:
Gray gradient colors – #2d2d2d and #b0b0b0

Step 4. Use text tool and type “Ferrari” using Ferro Rosso font (download link is above).

Step 5. Add silver metal text style with these parameters:

Step 6. Make a simple triangle with pen tool (under Ferrari text layer).

Step 7. Add red gradient and border to it.
Red gradient – #8f0000 and #dd0d0d
Gray border – #000000 and #bcbcbc

We are done, you should get something like this.

Text tutorial:

1. Make a circle.

2. Apply layer style with these details.

3.Customize the brush tool.

4. Draw a dotted pattern around the circle in a new layer.

5. Get rid of the dots around the circle (CTRL + left click on the circle layer in the layers tab, right click on the selection, Select Inverse, hit delete button).

6. Add a new layer and merge it with the circle layer.

7. Add noise effect.

8. Make one more a bit smaller circle in the bigger one, add noise like in 7th step.

9. Apply Feather option to the smaller circle. Make a selection, right click and choose Feather. Then Select Inverse and delete it.

10. Before we continue, it should be similar to this.

Tutorial:

1. Open a new document (1280x1024px) and make a rounded rectangle with 20px radius. Add the Inner Shadow like in my example.

2. Duplicate the body layer and make it a little smaller, and fill it with black color.

3. To make the iPhone metal frame more shiny, add two more details at the top and bottom.
To do it duplicate the main body layer again, make a color selection (CTRL+left click on the layer in layers window),
move the selection a few pixels down and hit delete button. Duplicate the layer and rotate it vertically to make the bottom one.

4. Make the home button. Create a black circle and add a gray 2px outline.
To make the glossy effect at bottom, repeat the 4th step (duplicate the circle layer, make a selection and cut).
At the end make a 4-5px radius rectangle and add 2 px gray outline.

5. Add the side buttons. Make them all with 1px rounded rectangle and add a dark gray to light gray gradient.
Put these layers under all existing layers in the layers palette.

6. Add the screen. Make a dark gray rectangle shape and add 2px outline with a bit lighter gray color.

7. Make the receiver. Create two identical rounded rectangles, make the bottom one in white color, and the top one in gray and outline in a darker gray color.

8. Add a glossy effect on the screen with gradient tool. We are done.

2. Use the brush tool with a bit lighter color #1a92e3 and make a radial gradient effect.

Tutorial:

1. Make a light blue circle with eclipse tool (hold SHIFT button to make a circle).

2. Duplicate the circle – CTRL+J. Make it a bit smaller using transform tool – CTRL+T. Fill it with a darker blue gradient.

3. Duplicate it again and add a blue glow effect on it.

4. Make one more circle and fill it with a dark blue gradient.

5. Hold CTRL and click on layer in the layers palette to make a selection. Pick a dark blue brush and fill the bottom part of the selection with the color.

6. Repeat previous step using lighter blue brush.

7. Duplicate “light blue brush layer” and move it about 15px to the top.

8. Make a white ellipse, use eraser tool to delete the bottom part, and decrease layer opacity to about 50%. That is how you make a glossy effect.

9. Duplicate the glossy layer and remove the part that covers smaller circle under it. Fill it with a light blue color.

10. In the last step, type white letter “a” and drop a dark blue shadow. We are done.

1. Open a blank document and type Google using Catull font (or Garamond). Every letter should be in a separated layer.

2. Drop Shadow
Double clink on the G letter layer in Layers palette. Add shadow with these parameters.

3. Bevel and Emboss
Apply Bevel and Emboss.

4. Add blue color to the letter – #184dc5
OK/Exit

5. Right click on the G layer, copy layer style and paste it to the “o” layer. Double click on the “o” layer and update the color.
Red – #de1b00

6. Repeat the last step on other latters and the end result should be something like this.
Yellow color – #ffcf00
Green – #32a93b

Create document 640×480 pixels.
Fill it with white color. Create a new layer name it “circle1″. Select Brush Tool (B). Make a circle similar to mine:
Master Diametar: 300px
Hardness: 100%

Fill the selection with gradient.
Top:# 022646
Bottom: #1597d5

Duplicate layer (CTRL+J) and name it “circle2”
Decrease the layer to 94% and fill with gradient:
Top:# 02244a
Center:#183b61
Bottom:# 49a5e4

Use Pen Tool (P) to create square shape (with radius).

1. Start a new documet

2. Create a new layer
Fill it with any color. Double click on the new layer and make a gradient with these colors:

3. Merge layers
Create a new layer under existing “gradient layer”.
Keep the gradient layer selected, hold CTRL and hit E button

4. Add noise effect
Go to Filter>Noise>Add Noise
Amount 20%

5. Add motion blur
Filter>Blur>Motion Blur
Distance: 35 pixels

With motion blur your metal texture sholud look similar to this one:

6. The last step is to add a shades to all corners of our brushed metal texture.

Hardness: 0%
Color: #8a8d96
